    This album I started writing in 2008 and recorded it in 2010. I did several things that were very rookie of me in this album. One being the super long intro on 100 Proof Country. I had planned on Jamie and I doing a talking bit before the song, but I wasn’t able to be in the studio the same day Jamie was, so we didn't get to cut that. Didn’t have as many choices back then, and we had what we had. Still love the song though, and I still can’t believe I had the courage to ask him to do the song with me, and I can’t believe he said yes! Jamie is in my top 5 singer / songwriters of all time. I love him, his music. He is my Musical hero without doubt. Him and Aaron Lewis. This album changed my perspective on music. I realized that I might could do some cool stuff one day, but it wasn’t going to be as easy as I had envisioned it being. The talent I was introduced to, and the things I saw going on, put all the pieces together for me. I am still friends with most of those guys today. Such a blessing. I also had the wonderful Ashton Adian on the album, her voice on several songs just brought it home. This was a new experience, and an absolute blast!
